The YIBS School of Education offers its students a life-changing experience through its research-informed academic programs, purposeful educational research, and compelling community-engagement opportunities. Today, we have a handful of competent instructors both at national and international levels. At YIBS and in collaboration with our educational partners, we strive to change leaders in education, leading and advancing research theories that promote educational policies and professional practice.
The challenge of bringing the world’s educational system into a higher level of international stature means that tomorrow’s teachers must come from the ranks of the best and the brightest.
There are wonderful opportunities today for the teachers of tomorrow. In certain fields, there are already teacher shortages. In other fields, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the need for teachers is projected to grow over the next several years by anywhere from 6% to 17%, depending on the field.
A good teacher never stops learning and never stops growing. Innovations in technology and communication are changing education in ways that stretch our imagination. At YIBS, we are committed to working hard to stretch your imagination.
As a teacher, you will be a highly-trained, forward-thinking professional. Entering the teaching profession today will set you on a path of discovery as we all work together to create a future educational system that will be different from what we see today.
The fulfilment that comes from working with children and young people is beyond comparison. The impact you will have on your community will be immeasurable, and there are very few professions that have that reward.
If you seek to make a difference, education is a field to pursue.
