E-commerce and Digital Marketing

Program Overview

Students to acquire a deep and specialized understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce with a special focus on digital techniques, digital marketing strategies, online sales strategies, and online customer care. This program is a clear, innovative, and inventive response to the challenging and inevitable online needs of business organizations in their quest for survival in this very competitive business world. The rapid evolution of digital technology has greatly changed consumer behavior and consequently transformed the way business organizations operate. The demand for graduates with specialized knowledge in digital marketing and e-commerce is indeed high and inevitable, especially in the wake of pandemics like SARS and the current COVID-19.

Obtaining a professional BSc in digital marketing and e-commerce blends theory and practice that arms the students with deep practical knowledge, case studies, industrial experience, and networking with professionals in this attractive and inspirational field. YIBS has a cream of seasoned academic lecturers and very qualified professionals in this field to transform the students into savvy, innovative, efficient, and effective professionals to boost wealth and job creation for business organizations in this online-driven marketplace.

ADMISSION

Admission to the Professional Degree Programme in E-commerce and digital marketing is open to holders of the HND/HPD, BTS, and DSEP in marketing, management, and other certificates related to the discipline.

DURATION

The duration of the degree program is one year (two semesters) in YIBS including an internship.  

GRADUATION REQUIREMENT

For a student to qualify for graduation, a minimum of 60 credits must be earned.

FURTHER STUDIES

Upon graduation with the Bachelor’s certificate in e-commerce and digital marketing, the students could choose to pursue further studies by:

  • Spend one more year to earn in degree in any related business and finance fields
  • Enroll in any International Professional Certification program, such as ABE –UK, PMP –the USA, etc. Further details (Link to ABE)

Upon graduation, successful students have so many job outlets which include; digital brand managers, digital marketing strategists, digital marketing planners, content managers, online brand managers, web content specialists, social media marketers, email marketers, content marketers, assistant web design and development managers, online data analysts, online customer relationship managers, e-commerce business strategists, e-commerce team managers, online market researcher analyst and digital communication strategists. The students can equally use this very practical study and operate as online sole proprietors or start-uppers to create wealth and jobs even before their official graduation.

Equally, after graduating, students could opt to further their technical knowledge by specializing in online marketing planning, digital marketing strategy, social media management, web design, online security, online customer service, technical e-commerce management, and online entrepreneurship.
