The insurance industry especially in the less developed world is so underdeveloped. There is no universal insurance coverage thus providing huge financial opportunities in the domains of health care, life and property insurance. Worst still, there is acute shortage of trained insurance personnel with the appropriate competences in most countries, not to mention Cameroon. The market however is very competitive with the need to aggressively and efficiently sensitize and win the hearts and minds of the public to acquire different insurance services and schemes.

YIBS recognizes this vital need and seeks to train students with the appropriate competences to fill the gap in the insurance industry. At the end of the training, students are awarded HND in Insurance.

The objective of this specialty is to train professionals to gain the competences to perform activities of a commercial, technical and management nature relating to insurance. The training seeks to arm the students with the knowledge on subscription modalities and indemnification of companies and persons for loss covered by insurance and social security protection.
