Program Overview

Computer Science

Computer Science is the study of computers and computational systems that deals mostly with software and software systems including theory, design, development, and application. The principal areas of study in this field include artificial intelligence, computer systems and networks, security, database systems, human computer interaction, vision and graphics, numerical analysis, programming languages, software engineering, bioinformatics and theory of computing. Computer scientists perform programming as well as design and analyze software.

Computer Networks

Computer networks help users to share data files, share resources and to facilitate communication internally and externally. In addition, network also enables sharing of hardware devices such as printers, scanners, CD-ROM drives and other hard drives between users. Imagine a world today without emails, online newspapers, blogs, chat and the other services offered by the internet.

Objective of the Training

The computer science and networks programs are designed to enable students gain combined competencies in computer science and networking.

  • Carry out routine (preventive) maintenance of computer facilities

This HND training is for a period of two (2) years. Upon completion, the student could spends a year to obtain a professional degree in computer engineering.

  • spending one more year to earn a degree in computer science, software engineering, database, information systems and networks, network and system maintenance, cyber security, artificial intelligence & machine learning or in other IT related fields;

  • doing certification programs like CISCO, CISA, CISM etc.
